Wizarding World - Keys and Curios journal

The most magical journal for Harry Potter fans is now augmented, thanks to three unique AR experiences we built for April, October and December.

The most magical journal for Harry Potter fans is now augmented, thanks to three unique AR experiences we built for April, October and December.

For Wizarding World's exclusive Keys and Curios journal, we augmented three of the monthly-themed pages.

April: to celebrate April Fool's, Harry Potter fans were able to virtually place a packet of Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans on a surface, and to shake it in order to get the famous beans to spill out onto the table. Then they were able to explore different flavours, including vomit, liver and sprouts to find out more about them.

October: on the occasion of Halloween, we created a set of augmented reality spiders, just like in The Chamber of Secrets. The spiders popped out of a virtual hole on the page and slid up and down the page when tilting the book.

December: for the season of snow, fans were able to explore a snowy Hogwarts castle, visualising a 3D model of the castle pop out from the page and seeing the white snow fall upon it. They were also able to find and read little nuggets of information about Hogwarts and excerpts from the books.
