Yahoo - AR Travel Guide

Utilizing Web-based Augmented Reality (WebAR), the Yahoo Augmented Reality Travel Guide is an immersive next-gen holiday booking experience.

This unique Travel ‘inspo’ experience begins by instructing the user to ‘Tap to Place’ the 3D branded globe in their own environment. Once spawned, the experience automatically detects which airport they are closest to, and generates a custom animation travelling from their home airport to their destination.

An interactive 3D map of the holiday destination appears with multiple interactive touchpoints to provide a highly engaging experience. Users have options to tap to view recommended hotels in the area, 360 views of different attractions and even pulling in live weather, flight and currency data via API.
