A cinematic WebAR campaign designed to augment Chronic Cellar's established brand’s image, story, and of course, characters.
Chronic Cellars tasked us with the creation of the world, voice, and body of Purple Paradise, the charismatic skeleton who greets you on the front of the Red Blend. The characters original illustrated design begged to jump out of the bottle and into the real world, and thats just what we did.
Giving him a full 3D body, as well as a cozy apartment inside the label of the bottle was a wonderful design challenge of character and world building, showing just enough hints of who he is outside his full time job on the front of the bottle.
We wanted to capture the playful and tongue-in-cheek nature of the Chronic Cellars brand, providing the foundation of Purple’s performance, mannerisms, and voice, which naturally translated into his meticulously crafted animation, allowing Purple Paradise to be as deep of a character as the wine he represents.
