For Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse Trigger produced a Web AR experience which leveraged the powers of 8th Wall and Amazon Sumerian technologies.
This experience is one of the most robust Web AR experiences to date. Announced at the AWS re:Invent 2018 conference, fans can now bring Spider-Man into their world right from the web. Users can access the augmented reality experience instantly from a mobile web browser without downloading an app. Trigger leveraged 8th Wall's brand new web-based, markerless AR solution that works on both iOS and Android and produced the content using Amazon Web Services' (AWS) new tool, Amazon Sumerian, the web-based 3D content editor released in 2017.
After launching the experience, users can take a photo next to the superhero and share it instantly with friends.
