Informa are a business who run the largest and most exciting industry events on the planet.
As part of their sustainability work they want to ensure that they are giving back to the planet too and so we used AR to create an engaging experience at their events that supported their Faster Forward suitability plan.
At each booth at the events visitors are able to collect a virtual seed by scanning a QR code. Then we use the power of 8th Wall to allow them to plant a virtual tree in the event space. And here's the cool bit. For every AR tree planted, Informa planted a real tree in the real world.
Participants were able to collect up to 6 seeds, meaning we created lots of footfall at the event for exhibitors, a scavenger hunt style AR experience and in doing so we were supporting sustainability goals too!
