Black Wall Street: Then and Now is an immersive WebAR project that transports users to the historic Greenwood District in Tulsa, Oklahoma, utilizing Niantic Scaniverse and Gaussian Splats technology. This interactive experience offers a unique way to explore and learn about the rich history of Black Wall Street through dynamic visuals, information about the locations, and historical image overlays.
Features:
- Gaussian Splats: Present day Tulsa was recorded using Niantic Scaniverse and made into immersive portals.
- Niantic Studio: This project uses Niantic Studio.
- Tap to place cursor mechanic: In a first, we created a tap to place mechanic for Niantic Studio.
- Niantic Spaces: : The use of multiple portals was powered by Spaces.
- Historial image toggle : We allow users to compare the past vs the present with a history image toggle.
