Manchester City and TECNO Mobile launch a WebAR experience that allows football fans to sign for the Premier League champions

TECNO Mobile is allowing football fans to feel what it's like to sign for Manchester City Football Club with it's #AnnounceYourself AR experience. This one-of-a-kind digital experience allows City fans across the globe to interact with the club in a variety of new ways.

 

Fans can enter the virtual world of Manchester City by visiting the #AnnounceYourself website or by scanning the QR Codes published across Manchester City and TECNO Mobile digital channels with their smartphone device. Once scanned, fans can browse and interact with the City environment by exploring the Etihad Stadium and City Football Academy training campus in 360° degrees in their world space. Users can then cross paths with first-team players, sign their new contract, select their squad number and take part in the 3D TECNO Mobile penalty shootout game and more. Fans who play the game and share their score to social media are entered in a draw for the chance to win VIP matchday tickets and travel to a City home fixture.

Developed by Aircards in partnership with AND THE NEW and powered by 8th Wall, this WebAR experience uses custom 3d stadium modeling, custom animation, 360 degree video and advanced analytics provision to create this interactive one-of-a-kind experience for football fans. With no app required, the experience is accessible through the browser making it easy for customers to instantly engage with the AR content.
