Announcing “Hello 8th Wall” Workshops in Europe

Calling all AR enthusiasts!
We are excited to announce the continuation of the Niantic Developer World Tour. Earlier this year, we visited Miami and Austin. This May 2023, we are coming to London and Amsterdam with more locations in Europe coming up soon! Hosted by 8th Wall and led by our partners and community leaders, we welcome all AR enthusiasts to attend our “Hello 8th Wall” workshop. This is a half-day event dedicated to developers, creators, artists, storytellers and all AR enthusiasts to become more familiar with the 8th Wall WebAR platform.
By the end of this workshop, all participants will learn how to navigate the 8th Wall platform, clone and build a sample project, customize their experience, and deploy their bespoke WebAR project for others to try out. This event is perfect for people of all levels, whether you’re a beginner or advanced, every participant will learn new skills. Additionally, with lunch and snacks provided, all you need to bring is your laptop, creativity and passion, and be prepared to build immersive experiences that capture attention and drive results.

On May 19th, we are inviting everyone passionate about AR to attend a “Hello 8th Wall” workshop at the Niantic office in London. For this event, we’ve invited Ollie Tyler, AR technologist and Founder of Tapaday and tnySocial, to lead a workshop focused on creating a personalized WebAR business card that you can show off to your friends and colleagues. We’ve also collaborated with Wonderment by Design, an XR design agency based in Amsterdam, to lead a “Hello 8th Wall” workshop on May 26th. Developers will learn about the 8th wall platform, build and customize an 8th wall project, and meet other local developers. By the end of this workshop, developers will create a unique project that utilizes 8th Wall WebAR and Sky Effects that allows you to turn the sky into a canvas!
