Xbox launches WebAR game for the release of Marvel Studios’ “Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings”

In celebration of the highly anticipated theatrical release of Marvel Studios’, “Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings,” Xbox launched an augmented reality gaming experience that features the Ten Rings organization infiltrating Xbox. Leveraging the power of AR, fans around the world can join the rescue efforts to help set Xbox free and enter for the chance to win a custom Shang-Chi inspired XBOX Series X Console.

To help stop the specter of Ten Rings and access the game, users scan the QR code shared on Xbox’s Twitter account. Next, users watch as the 10 rings disperse throughout their physical space. As quickly as they can, users must attempt to find all 10 rings by moving their smartphone or tablet device in a 360-degree motion. After completing the journey and finding all 10 rings, users can learn how to enter for the chance to win a Shang-Chi inspired Xbox Series X Console.

Created by Look Mister in collaboration with Marvel, Mega and powered by 8th Wall, this web-based augmented reality experience makes use of the player's world space to scatter the rings. As this web-based augmented reality experience requires no app to download, fans around the world can instantly access the experience and play it wherever they want.
