Pepsi is giving Super Bowl fans a way to step inside the Pepsi Super Bowl LV Halftime Show Commercial featuring multi-award winning artist, The Weeknd, and become part of the action with an immersive 360-degree augmented reality experience.

Users scan a QR code on specially marked cans of Pepsi which brings them to the Pepsi Super Bowl LV Halftime site on their smartphone. From there, they click a link to enter the AR portal experience which begins by asking them to drop the Pepsi Super Bowl LV Halftime portal door in their physical space. Tennessee Titans Honors Fans and Tennessee Natives in an AR-Activated Mural

Agency MVP Interactive teamed up with the Tennessee Titans to help fans connect with the football team during a pandemic while at the same time honor Tennessee natives under the messaging “Tennessee Tough”. MVP Interactive commissioned artist Eric “Mobe” Bass to create a mural in Nashville which came to life with Web AR. Visitors of the mural scan a QR code which triggers the mural to come to life with AR. The digital mural pays homage to notable Tennessee natives like the late civil rights leader John Lewis and legendary University of Tennessee Lady Volunteers basketball coach Pat Summit by displaying powerful quotes before all 90 of the Tennessee county names appear across the mural and an animation of a Tennessee Titans football player is seen waving his hands to “hype up” the experience.

ESPN College GameDay Built by The Home Depot is a pre-game show covering college football prior to the start of games featuring news and analysis of the day’s upcoming matchups and aimed at getting fans engaged and excited.

Due to COVID-19, this year The Home Depot needed to reimagine fan engagement which included the use of augmented reality to bring the broadcast’s iconic College GameDay desk in to their physical space. Using web-based augmented reality, users clicked a link to place a 3D replica of the official College GameDay desk in their living room, backyard or wherever they chose.

The AR experience, created by Octagon, was just one of many ways in which The Home Depot engaged fans in new ways during the pandemic. They also delivered physical pop-up tailgate packages to lucky fans whose team is playing that week to safely be enjoyed with family members.
