Project Overview

BON V!V Spiked Seltzer teamed up with WebAR agency Aircards to create an engaging out-of-home (OOH) AR advertising campaign throughout Los Angeles and San Diego. Activated by a QR code scan printed within mural graphics, the AR experience featured a virtual vending machine, a branded map of store locations carrying the product, and an ecommerce integration for immediate purchase.

The Experience

Bon V!V drew in customers with an engaging WebAR experience activated by a QR code printed within mural graphics. A full 3D vending machine launched with interactive animations using image targets, allowing users the opportunity to select and dispense their favorite flavor can of BON V!V Spiked Seltzer.

Customers continued along the shopper journey through two retail call-to-action integrations: a custom branded map functionality and an ecommerce integration with Instacart. With the custom-branded map, customers could find the nearest store selling BON V!V’s Spiked Seltzer. Tapping on a pin displayed the quickest route to get to that store. With the ecommerce integration with Instacart, customers could purchase their chosen BON V!V Spiked Seltzers and receive a delivery within a few hours.

This campaign gave BON V!V an additional activation channel by allowing customers to access the experience from a social media link and place the 3D content within their own setting.


The experience drew in users for an average 2 minutes dwell time and generated a 58% click-through rate to ‘Find Nearest Store.’
